Go Julie, Go!

Oh my word, I am so FREAKIN' behind on this blog thing, I can hardly stand it. Blogging sucks. I am used to just starting something, going full speed to the point of exhaustion, and then moving on to the next latest and greatest. I blame the ADD. Self-diagnosed, of course. Well the thing is, you can't just decide you are going to quit blogging apparently, or people harass the living crap out of you. I know, hello? The nerve! It's like I joined the Mafia or something and now I can never leave. Or I get a hit put on me. For the love!

By the way, hello to my husband's co-workers who read my blog. Thanks for reading it! I'm sure Dave has conveyed to you that I love the attention, but I beg of you, could you PLEASE post a comment? Don't worry, I won't think it's weird or voyeuristic. I live for that stuff, trust me. What IS weird is that you read and DON'T comment, now that's where I'm callin' you out. You know who you are................ :) Now don't be shy. That goes for anyone else who is reading and NOT commenting, co-worker or not. I welcome all forms of stalking.

Okay, so I actually accomplished something incredibly amazing this summer that I NEVER EVER thought in a million years I would do in my entire life. I RAN A 10K RACE!!!! Yes, people, you heard right. The girl who HATES running with everything in her body, ran a full freakin' race and she didn't even come in last. Ha Ha! That was my biggest fear, honestly, no kidding. That and that I would have to stop midway and use the bathroom because I have that small bladder issue and that there would be no facility available. That's okay - my fears were alieved I'm happy to say. Thrilled, actually.

My wonderful and supportive family was there to cheer me on and my friend, Kendra George, who bullied me into registering for the race (THANK YOU, KENDRA!!!!), was my running buddy. It was one of the highlights of my year! I was 18th out of 35 in my category, coming in at a 9.24 min mile. Definitely not last. This, coming from a woman who couldn't even run a half mile last year. Is it brazen to say that I amaze myself?! :) Dave was so proud of me, and the girls too, especially Tiffany. Now, can I just say that I have NO desire to ever run anything longer than 6.3 miles - EVER. My next adventure is to jump out of a plane. I have some friends who are trying to talk me into it, but Dave is not on board with the whole thing. I am DYING to do it now, especially since he said I can't. Still have that teenage rebellious streak. Defiance, I guess. Don't tell me no, baby!

My Training Partner, Kendra - aka/PollyPocket - isn't she just a cutie!?

me and my fan club!

Sticky, sweaty, mess post race - yucky!

I think you should go sky diving! CALM DOWN DAVE!
You have what we like to call the 'Oh Yeah!?' factor. People say you can't do that! And automatically "OhYeah!? watch me" is the first thing that comes out. Why? Cause we're the freaking baddest people on the planet and we do what we want! Thats why!

PS When you go skydiving you should listen to Freefallin on your ipod...just an idea

You're nuts. You're hilarious. And you need to proof-read. HAHA. I thought Dave was always "on BROAD"! HAHAHA!

Is this comment going to be deleted?

By the way, I love your new blog layout. Very pretty. I'm too lazy to do that stuff.

Oh. And YOU ROCK for running that 10k. You kick my butt. I'm down to running twice a week --- after my shins recover. Just jumping rope and strength training for me now.

We were so proud of Julie for working so hard and completing the race. We were glad she didn’t end up in last place as well! She was so surprised that she could run at all. All of our marriage Julie has told me that her family has bad knees and that there is no way she could ever run. Great job honey!
As for Sky Diving, there will be no jumping out of planes! No matter how cool it sounds, how many people think it’s a great idea, or how much you want to rebel. You’re not a teenager… Try something where there is no chance for death! Hello you’re the mother of two children that like having a Mom…

PS

Doesn't she look HOT!!!

Dude you are hot. Lets run the rock n roll marathon in June together. I will help you through it and give you a training plan. Trust me, you can do it. Only 20 miles more than you ran then. Think of how proud everyone will be of you, plus we will get to spend 4 hours together. I am really serious. It can be fun.

Wow. That's awesome. I doubt I will EVER run a 10K- unless someone is chasing me trying to murder me. Seriously. You even look like you were having fun, which is also quite amazing.

Way to go with the running! You're hot!

When you go skydiving you should think about doing it tandem . . . basically someone is tied to your back and they are responsible for pulling the parachute and stuff. I don't think people really ever die skydiving. One of my friends just went she said it was awesome.

Wow! That's so great Julie! Congrats! One of my sisters loves to run...I wish I could develop that "love talent". ;0)

See, I'm ending the blog stalking and actually commenting. :D I love it when you post!

welcome back to the blog world... i thought you were gone for good : )

Great job on the race! I need to try one of those.

I watched my good friend do the skydiving tandem...it looked way fun and she loved it. i would tell dave that it's probably safer than driving on the freeway.

Do you have any lotion?? I am desperate.

Wow! Thanks for you sweet comments on "our" blog! Can't wait to meet you in real life! I hope that you are doing great! Love----Amy

PS...And......next time you are in Utah.....I'll take you indoor sky diving at our place in Ogden. I think you'll love it and your husband won't be quite so freaked! (And PS.....when he warms up to the idea of airplanes......I'll jump with you....I've always wanted to do it!)

Holy crap, you kept a good pace! I had no idea you were doing that, did I? I think you need to start running with me to get me up to a good speed. I'm with Dave on the skydiving. Sorry. He loves you but he shouldn't have to change your diapers! :) Love ya!

Listen here missy, blogging DOES NOT suck! It's a quick and easy way of keeping your friends and family updated on your families life. Here's what you do: get your butt off of Face Book for about 5 minutes a week, and blog instead!
: )

Julie julie julie.............blogging is abaout sharing things with friends. You can catch up with each others lives when you have time and have fun seeing what everyone is doing. Don't count on comments, and when you get one it is a bonus-not expected! I don't think everyone wants to comment on everyones blog they read. Not sure were you got your rules on that from?
Good job on the run! I admire you for doing that! Awesome! You continue to do a great job with your exercise! Gold star for you! Seriously!
Dialogs are emails and face book.
Thanks for letting me vent! I love you and love to see what you have been up to! Keep blogging!
